In 2001, Mr. Ray Rought, the Director of the Office of Aeronautics for the State of Minnesota requested MAHEC to coorcdinate the Celebration of the Centennial of Flight in 2003.   This included the display of the 1903 Wright Flyer replica built by Flight Expo.   MAHEC has continued to support the display of the Flyer.   It was on display in Hangar 5 at South St. Paul Airport (Fleming Field)until October 24th 2020 when it was moved to the Wings of the North Museum at Flying Cloud Airport.   ...more including photos

Ollie Kaldahl's students model aircraft

Ollie Kaldahl donated four model aircraft that his students in the Bloomington School District built.   The Spirit of St. Louis model is on display at the terminal building at South St. Paul Airport.   View the Spirit of St. Louis model
